BJP MP and Patliputra constituency candidate Ram Kripal Yadav’s convoy was attacked by unidentified assailants in Masoodi, Patna district of Bihar. BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav’s Convoy Attacked in Masoodi, Patna
On Saturday evening in Masoodi, Patna district of Bihar, BJP MP and Patliputra constituency candidate Ram Kripal Yadav’s convoy came under attack by unidentified assailants. The incident took place as Yadav was visiting Masaurhi to meet an injured worker, when two unknown individuals fired shots in the air near Tineri village in Masaurhi.
Police Launch Investigation
Following the incident, the police promptly initiated an investigation into the matter. The firing near Tineri village along the Patna-Jehanabad road resulted in injuries to Ram Kripal Yadav’s workers, prompting Yadav to file a formal complaint with the authorities.
Bharat Soni, the Superintendent of Police for Patna East City, confirmed that the police received information about the attack and are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the assault on Yadav’s convoy. As part of the investigation, the police are conducting raids at suspected hideouts of the individuals named as suspects in the FIR filed by Yadav.
Political Condemnation
Reacting to the attack on BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav, BJP OBC Morcha’s National General Secretary Dr. Nikhil Anand condemned the incident as a premeditated conspiracy. Anand stressed that while political differences are a natural part of the democratic process, resorting to violence to eliminate political opponents is unacceptable.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajiv Mishra confirmed that an FIR has been lodged based on Ram Kripal Yadav’s complaint, with nine individuals named as suspects in the case. The attack occurred after the peaceful conclusion of voting at 6 PM, with the EVMs securely transported prior to the incident.
The police are working diligently to track down the suspects and bring them to justice.
