TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. – A shooting incident has rocked the peaceful neighbourhood of Red Bluff and Gerber, leaving residents in shock and fear. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has identified and arrested one of the possible suspects involved in the shootings that took place on Friday.

The Incident

On Friday, the TCSO received a distressing call about a shooting in the 300 block of Ventura Avenue. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two individuals who had been shot. Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Details Uncovered

Through their investigation, detectives determined that three men had visited a residence on Ventura Avenue the day before the shooting. In the early hours of Friday, one of the suspects inexplicably opened fire, resulting in the tragic death of one victim. The homeowner bravely fought back, leading to another victim being shot in the leg by a second suspect. Following a brief exchange of gunfire, the suspects fled the scene.

Later that same day, the Red Bluff Police Department responded to a report of a 21-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds in the 100 block of Main Street. Collaborating with the RBPD, TCSO detectives linked the injured individual to the Gerber shooting investigation. The suspect, identified as Osbaldo Rodriguez, was swiftly arrested in connection to the incident.

While Rodriguez is in custody, authorities are actively seeking the second possible suspect involved in the shootings.
