A father and his 12-year-old son, who were found dead after going missing in the Scottish Highlands, likely died as a result of a fall, according to police. Tom Parry, 49, and his son Richie, from Cheshire, did not return home after hillwalking in Glen Nevis and Glen Coe. Their bodies were recovered from Stob Coire nan Lochan, Glen Coe. The Tragic Incident in the Scottish Highlands

Recently, a heartbreaking incident occurred in the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, where a father and his 12-year-old son lost their lives while hillwalking. The father, Tom Parry, 49, and his son Richie, from Cheshire, went missing after visiting Glen Nevis and Glen Coe.

The Discovery

Their car was discovered in the Three Sisters car park in the area on Tuesday, sparking a search and rescue operation. Tragically, at about 7.25pm on Wednesday, rescuers found two bodies on Stob Coire nan Lochan, Glen Coe. The bodies were later identified as Tom Parry and his son Richie.

A Heartfelt Tribute

Gemma Parry, Tom’s wife and Richie’s mother, expressed her deep sorrow and gratitude towards the Scottish and Cheshire police, as well as the mountain rescue service, for their efforts in finding her loved ones. She described Tom as a caring and loving father, while Richie was remembered as an energetic and loving boy who had a passion for quizzes, maths, and sports.

Community Support

The Parry family also received support from the community of Alsager in Cheshire and their family friends during this difficult time. Insp Katy Duncan of Police Scotland extended her sympathies to the Parry family and thanked all the emergency services and volunteers involved in the search and rescue operation.
