Man Arrested in Columbus for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
In a disturbing turn of events, a 43-year-old man, Timothi Cramer, has been arrested by Columbus police for allegedly possessing child sexual abuse material. The arrest took place in Columbus, Ohio, where Cramer was found to be in possession of nearly 400 files containing explicit material involving minors.
Discovery of the Crime
The investigation into Cramer’s activities began when Google submitted a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on March 26. The report detailed the transmission of child sexual abuse material through Google’s service, with the user identified as Timothi Cramer. The IP address linked to Cramer’s illegal activities was traced to an address in the 2000 block of Indianola Avenue near Summit Street.
Police Action
Upon receiving this information, SWAT members from the Columbus Division of Police executed a search warrant at Cramer’s location. The warrant was issued by the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Columbus Police Exploited Children Unit. During the search, investigators discovered several videos and images depicting children being sexually assaulted.
