Another Taxi Operator Fatally Shot Near Linstead, St Catherine

In a tragic turn of events, another taxi operator has been brutally killed near Linstead in St Catherine, sending shockwaves through the public passenger transport community in the parish. The victim, identified as Nigel Mighty, a 48-year-old resident of Deeside and Wakefield district in Linstead, met a tragic end in Middleton district, close to Dinthill Technical High School.

Details of the Incident

The unfortunate incident occurred at around 8:20 a.m. while Mighty was driving his taxi along the road. Suddenly, gunshots rang out, and he was found with severe gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite efforts to save him, Mighty succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The news of Mighty’s senseless killing has left the public passenger transport operators in St Catherine in a state of fear and distress. Aaron Mattis, the Head of the Spanish Town Taxi Association, has passionately called for enhanced security measures to protect the lives of operators.
