Shamere Ross, 33, of Watertown, was arrested without incident by multiple law enforcement agencies, including Randolph and Watertown police departments, for allegedly firing shots at a male victim outside the Mojitos Nightclub. Police found six firearms in Ross’ home, including stolen and unregistered firearms. Man Arrested in Connection with Shooting Outside Randolph Nightclub

A man has been taken into custody and charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred outside a nightclub in Randolph. Randolph Police Chief Anthony Marag made the announcement on Thursday, revealing that Shamere Ross, a 33-year-old resident of Watertown, was arrested last month in connection with the incident.

The arrest took place on May 30 at around 6 a.m. when officials from various local and regional law enforcement agencies apprehended Ross at a residence in Watertown. The arrest was carried out without any incident, according to police reports. Participating agencies included the Randolph and Watertown police departments, as well as the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) SWAT Team and the NELMEC Regional Drug Task Force.

During the arrest, a search of the premises led to the discovery of six firearms inside the home, including three stolen firearms and one firearm with an unreadable serial number. Following his arrest, Ross was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges including armed assault to murder, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and possession of a firearm. Additional charges are expected to be filed against him in the near future.

The shooting incident took place in the early hours of April 20 outside the Mojitos Nightclub on Mazzeo Drive in Randolph. According to police reports, officers responded to reports of shots being fired at around 2 a.m. that night.

Witnesses alleged that Ross, who was standing in the nightclub’s parking lot, pulled out a firearm as patrons were leaving the venue and fired three shots at a male victim. However, a vehicle in the area was struck by gunfire during the incident.

After firing the shots, Ross fled the scene and evaded capture for over a month before being identified and arrested by Randolph police. The swift action taken by law enforcement agencies led to the successful apprehension of the suspect, bringing a sense of relief to the local community.
