With Banks’s assistance, Davenport fled the scene in a gray Ford Fusion, leading troopers and officers on a pursuit through Upland Park. Despite their efforts, the suspects managed to evade capture, prompting a large-scale search involving helicopters from the Omaha Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol.
The Dramatic Capture
After a tip-off led law enforcement to Washington County, a brief pursuit ensued, culminating in Davenport and Banks hiding inside a semi cab in Kennard. Following a standoff, troopers were forced to fire upon Davenport as he refused to surrender. Banks, however, emerged from the vehicle and was taken into custody with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Resolution
With the use of specialized equipment, Davenport was eventually apprehended and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Charges are pending for both individuals in Douglas and Washington Counties, with investigations ongoing to determine the full extent of their actions.
