Two men, Wyatt Andrew Shaw and Landon Scott Levengood, have been charged with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony, following a road rage incident in New Philadelphia. NEW PHILADELPHIA – A recent road rage incident in New Philadelphia has led to two men being charged with aggravated assault. Wyatt Andrew Shaw, 20, of Gnadenhutten, and Landon Scott Levengood, 19, of Sherrodsville, are facing second-degree felony charges in connection with the altercation.

The incident took place on February 9 when a 53-year-old New Philadelphia resident was driving west on West High Avenue. Another driver in a white Chevrolet pickup truck blocked his path as he continued south on 16th Street SW. The victim honked his horn and flashed his headlights in response, which led to a confrontation between the two parties.

The altercation escalated when the driver of the white pickup truck followed the victim to near his home, where the victim was attacked. The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked by the suspects, resulting in significant facial injuries that required multiple surgeries to repair.

The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the incident after the victim sought treatment at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover. Three suspects were reportedly passengers in the truck and were involved in the attack.

Shaw and Levengood were identified as the main perpetrators of the assault during the investigation. They are scheduled to appear in Tuscarawas County Court on June 26 to face the charges against them.
