The victims, identified as Rehan (17) and Shahzad (24), were hit by an SUV registered under Nandini Nagar educational institute run by Singh’s family. The mother of one victim reported that her son and nephew were buying medicines when the speeding SUV collided with their bike. The driver, Luvkush Srivastava, has been arrested, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. The incident has left one woman injured and hospitalized.

Guwahati, May 30: A heartbreaking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda has left two individuals dead after a convoy, believed to be of Karan Bhushan Singh, BJP candidate from Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat, collided with a bike on Wednesday. The victims, identified as Rehan (17) and Shahzad (24), were traveling on the two-wheeler when they were struck by an SUV bearing the registration number UP32 HW 1800. The car, which had ‘police escort’ written on the rear windscreen, is said to be registered in the name of Nandini Nagar educational institute run by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s family.

Details of the Tragic Incident

The unfortunate incident occurred when the two victims, Rehan and Shahzad, were on a bike heading to purchase medicines around 9 am. A speeding SUV coming from the opposite direction collided with their two-wheeler, resulting in the tragic deaths of both individuals. Additionally, a 60-year-old woman sustained injuries in the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment in a nearby hospital.

Police Actions and Investigation

Following the collision, the driver of the SUV, identified as Luvkush Srivastava, was apprehended by the police. The vehicle has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident. However, there has been no confirmation as to whether Karan Bhushan Singh was present in the convoy at the time of the accident.
