The evidence gathered by troopers indicates that the Lynx bus was travelling southbound on N Econlockhatchee Trail, approaching the intersection of Valencia College Lane in the left turn lane. Simultaneously, a car was heading northbound on the same road, in the outside lane towards the same intersection.

As the Lynx bus driver attempted to make a left turn to travel east on Valencia College Lane, the front right of the bus collided with the car. The impact of the crash caused the bus to veer off the roadway and collide with a concrete wall, while the car overturned and was struck by a pedestrian traffic signal.
Fatal Outcome
Tragically, the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver, a 59-year-old man from Orlando, was identified as the driver of the Lynx bus. Fortunately, the five other passengers on the bus did not sustain serious injuries and were not transported to the hospital.
