In the early hours of May 30th, Deputy D. Williams and Cpl. D. Rackley from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of vehicle break-ins on Robinson Drive near Roanoke Rapids. Lt. D. Jenkins of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department spotted a vehicle leaving the area, leading to a stop at Bolling Road and Robinson Drive. The driver, identified as Drew Ann Barlowe, 27, was found in possession of stolen items from a victim on Robinson Drive. Barlowe was arrested and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle for theft. She is currently held in the Halifax County Detention Center awaiting a court date on May 31st.
