Schill’s office on Sunday, May 26, PSP Clarion Trooper Ryan Drayer conducted an interview with Heidi Boots at 300 Hamilton Street in New Bethlehem, Clarion County, around midnight on Saturday, May 25. This interview took place during an ongoing manhunt for Damean Felmlee.
During the interview, Boots, who is engaged to Felmlee, claimed she had not seen him for three days and promised to inform law enforcement immediately if she had any contact with him. She mentioned that Felmlee had messaged her saying he had been in a car crash and would reach out to her when it was safe. When asked to show the messages to Trooper Drayer, Boots admitted to deleting all communication after reading them.
Later that same day, Boots was stopped in Clarion Borough at 1:06 a.m. The driver of the vehicle stated he was taking Boots to the Leeper area after stopping at Sheetz for coffee. Leeper was the last known location of Felmlee at the time.

On the evening of May 25, Marienville-based State Police officers arrived at 383 Laurel Lane in Leeper, where one of Felmlee’s relatives resided. Felmlee was spotted near a black Dodge Challenger on the property before fleeing into a wooded area as law enforcement approached.
Boots, who was present at the scene, identified Felmlee as the person who had fled into the woods. She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to PSP Clarion for further processing.
According to the complaint, Boots was charged with several offenses, including concealing Felmlee’s whereabouts, deleting communication records post-crime, and withholding information from law enforcement during an active manhunt.
