Woman Arrested for Burglary in Morganton, North Carolina
In a recent incident in Morganton, North Carolina, a woman has been charged with breaking into a man’s home and stealing items, as reported by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday, May 23, at a residence on Crystal Creek Road.

The homeowner awoke to find a woman inside his home attempting to take property. Startled, he confronted the intruder who then fled from the scene. The homeowner immediately reported the incident to the authorities, prompting a swift response from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
Suspect Identified as Violet Dessie Foster
Following the burglary, investigators reviewed camera footage from the homeowner’s property and successfully identified the suspect as 34-year-old Violet Dessie Foster. Foster was apprehended at her residence the following day, on Friday, May 24, without incident.
Charges and Court Date
Violet Dessie Foster was charged with felony first-degree burglary and felony larceny after breaking and/or entering. She was subsequently booked under a $25,000 secured bond. Court documents indicate that Foster is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 30, to face the charges against her.
