Clarkson had a domestic relationship with D’Ortna, but specifics were unclear. Clarkson fled but was later arrested with assistance from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. On Tuesday, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy Holt announced the arrest of Micheal Robert Clarkson, 39, of Traveler’s Rest, and Cherith Crown, 38, of Greer. Clarkson has been charged with murder, while Crown faces charges of being an accessory after the fact of murder and obstructing justice.

The authorities were alerted to the situation when a distressing 911 call reported the discovery of a deceased body inside a residence at 31 Velo Way in Travelers Rest. The victim was later identified as Colleen D’Ortna.

Relationship between Clarkson and D’Ortna

Investigations have revealed that Clarkson had a domestic relationship with D’Ortna, although the specifics of their relationship are still unclear at this point.

Following the discovery of D’Ortna’s body, a search warrant was issued for Clarkson’s business located at 3216 New Easley Bridge Road. Clarkson attempted to evade capture but was eventually apprehended by sheriff’s deputies with the assistance of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Crown, on the other hand, is suspected of aiding Clarkson and tampering with evidence relevant to the investigation. Her bond request was denied during a court hearing on Wednesday morning.
