SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4) — In a recent incident of road rage that turned fatal, authorities have identified the man involved as 27-year-old Calvin Zakery Grace from Springville, Utah.

The Fatal Road Rage Incident

The tragic incident took place on April 26, 2024, in Spanish Fork, Utah. It all started shortly after 2:15 a.m. when police received a call about a driving aggression incident on Highway 6 and 2550 East.

According to reports, the victim was stopped at a traffic light when the driver of another vehicle pulled up next to him and began staring. Feeling uncomfortable, the victim continued driving, only to realize that the other driver was following him.

As the situation escalated, the suspect attempted to ram the victim’s vehicle, prompting the victim to contact the authorities. A police officer intervened and tried to pull over the suspect near 400 East 300 South. However, the suspect chose to flee, leading the officer on a pursuit.

The Tragic Outcome

Despite the officer’s efforts to apprehend the suspect, the chase came to a devastating end at 500 North 400 East. The suspect’s vehicle crashed into a large tree in the front yard of a residence, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver, Calvin Zakery Grace.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and attempted to save the driver’s life, but their efforts were in vain. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
