In another unfortunate incident in Kinwat, three individuals, including two sisters, drowned in the Painganga River during a picnic. The bodies were retrieved with the help of local residents and taken for post mortem.

Tractor and Trolley Accident Claims Life in Nanded River

A tragic accident in Nanded district has left one dead and two injured as a tractor and its trolley overturned in the Rajwadi River near Pardi Vaijapur in Mudkhed taluka. The incident occurred on Monday morning, resulting in the death of a minor boy identified as Tejas Ashok Shinde (15), while Rameshwar Maroti Sable (17) and Balaji Maroti Shinde (18) sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the government hospital in Vishnupuri.

Details of the Accident

The accident took place when a group of individuals from Pardi Vaijapur was travelling towards Mudkhed in a tractor with a trolley attached. Unfortunately, the tractor and trolley veered off the bridge and fell into the river. Local residents immediately alerted the authorities and initiated a rescue operation, managing to extract the injured individuals using a JCB machine.

Bridge Safety Concerns

Concerns have been raised about the safety of the bridge, with reports of similar accidents occurring in the past. Just recently, a Jeep also plunged into the river from the same bridge, resulting in fatalities. Residents attribute these incidents to the sharp turn on the bridge, which poses a significant risk to travellers.

Tragic Drowning Incident in Kinwat

In another unfortunate incident in Nanded district, three individuals lost their lives in the Painganga River at Morgaon in Kinwat taluka. The victims, identified as Mamta Shaikh Javed (21), Payal Devidas Kamble (16), and Swati Devidas Kamble (13), drowned while on a picnic with their family members.

The Kamble family had gathered for a picnic at Morgaon in Kinwat taluka, accompanied by friends. Despite the festive occasion, tragedy struck as Mamta, Payal, and Swati lost their lives in the river. Fortunately, one woman managed to escape the water’s grasp by promptly exiting the river.

Response and Recovery Efforts

Upon receiving the distressing news, officers from the Kinwat police station, including PI Sunil Birla and API VK Yevale, promptly arrived at the scene to retrieve the bodies from the river. The deceased were transported to the sub-district government hospital at Gokunda for post-mortem examinations before being handed over to their grieving relatives.

These recent incidents serve as stark reminders of the importance of road and water safety measures, urging authorities to take necessary precautions to prevent such tragedies from recurring in the future.
