China Unveils Robot Dog Armed with Rifle in Military Drill
It looks like something out of a science fiction movie, but China’s military recently showcased a robot dog equipped with an automatic rifle during military exercises with Cambodia.
Dubbed as the “Golden Dragon 2024” exercise, the demonstration revealed the capabilities of this robotic canine in urban combat operations.

“It can serve as a new member in our urban combat operations, replacing our (human) members to conduct reconnaissance and identify the enemy and strike the target,” explained a soldier named Chen Wei in a video released by state broadcaster CCTV.

The video showcased the robot dog’s ability to walk, hop, lie down, and move backwards under the control of a remote operator.
