Chesterfield County Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Authorities in Chesterfield County, Richmond, have apprehended a suspect in connection to a tragic shooting that resulted in the death of one man and left another individual injured. The incident took place on May 26 at 8:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Periwinkle Drive.

Upon receiving a distress call regarding a shooting, law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult victims who had sustained gunshot wounds. Tragically, one of the victims, identified as 46-year-old Brian Cosby from Chesterfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. The following day, on May 27, Chesterfield police took 45-year-old Dion Rucker into custody in connection to the homicide.
