Three individuals lost their lives in separate road accidents in Mumbai on Sunday. The tragic incidents occurred in Vikhroli, Khar, and Powai areas of the city, as confirmed by the police. In Khar, a 27-year-old man named Virendra Singh lost his life after a car hit him while riding his bike at Neelam Foodland Junction. The driver, Pramila Khumbachandani, was arrested for rash driving and causing death by negligence. In Vikhroli, a 29-year-old died when a mini truck collided with his bike, leading to the arrest of the driver, Baliram Chhotulal Yadav. At Powai Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road, Atul Kharose lost his life after his bike collided with a dumper truck, resulting in the arrest of the driver, Ramzan Nadaf. Earlier on the same day, an elderly woman named Zubaida Sheikh passed away after being hit by a speeding car driven by a doctor at Sion Hospital. She had been admitted for diabetes treatment and was discharged a week prior.

Mumbai: Three tragic road accidents claimed the lives of three individuals in different areas of Mumbai on Sunday. These incidents occurred in Vikhroli, Khar, and Powai, leaving the city in mourning.

Details of the Accidents

In the first heartbreaking incident at Khar, a young man aged 27 lost his life after a speeding car collided with his bike at Neelam Foodland Junction in Khar. The victim, identified as Virendra Singh, was rushed to the nearest government hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car, Pramila Khumbachandani, was arrested by the Khar police and charged under Section 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Another devastating incident took place in Vikhroli, where a mini truck collided with a bike, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old individual. The Vikhroli police took immediate action by registering a case against the driver, Baliram Chhotulal Yadav, under sections 279, 304 A, and other relevant sections of the IPC. Yadav was promptly arrested in connection with the accident.

In the third heart-wrenching incident, a fatal collision between a bike and a dumper truck occurred at the Powai Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road in Mumbai. The rider of the two-wheeler, identified as Atul Kharose, lost his life in the tragic accident. The Powai police swiftly registered a case against the dumper truck driver, Ramzan Nadaf, and took him into custody.

A Similar Tragic Incident

Prior to these unfortunate events, an elderly woman met with a fatal accident at Sion Hospital in central Mumbai. The victim, Zubaida Sheikh, was struck by a speeding car allegedly driven by a doctor. Having battled with diabetes, Zubaida had been undergoing treatment at Sion Hospital for the past two weeks. Tragically, she was discharged from the hospital just a week ago and was visiting for a follow-up when the accident occurred.
