A devastating two-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon in Morris County, Kansas, has left three individuals from Minnesota dead and four others seriously injured. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and a 2024 Toyota Rav4 SUV. The pickup truck was travelling south on Kelso Road when it collided head-on with the northbound Toyota Rav4.

Victims Identified

The three individuals who tragically lost their lives in the crash were all occupants of the Toyota Rav4. They have been identified as the driver, Troy A Sabean, 33, of Roseville, Minnesota; and passengers Emma M. Porter, 33, also from Roseville, and Ann C. Porter, 69, from Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The Kansas Highway Patrol noted that all three victims were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

Two other occupants of the Toyota, Paul M. Porter, 68, and Kathleen L. Lebarron, 64, both from Edina, Minnesota, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Thankfully, Porter and Lebarron were also wearing their seat belts.

The occupants of the Dodge pickup truck, driver Andrew M. Steele, 53, of White City, and passenger Lisa M. Steele, 51, also from White City, suffered serious injuries in the collision. Andrew Steele was taken to Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, while Lisa Steele was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Andrew Steele was not wearing his seat belt, whereas Lisa Steele was properly restrained.
