A 37-year-old Indian woman tragically lost her life after a devastating fall from a building in Fujairah, as reported by local media outlets.
The victim, identified as Shanifa Babu, met with the fatal accident on a fateful Sunday morning. Her lifeless body was discovered on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood, after plunging from the 19th floor of a residential building in close proximity to Fujairah St Mary’s School.
Shanifa was the wife of Sanuj Babu, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, who operates a successful construction company in the city of Fujairah.
Tragically, Shanifa leaves behind two young daughters, adding to the heartbreak of this untimely loss.
Known for her vibrant presence on social media, Shanifa was an influential figure, particularly in the realm of fashion, where she regularly shared trendy content on platforms like Instagram.
In a poignant post on Instagram, Sanuj Babu expressed his grief, stating, “My Wife left me today at 8.30 am, leaving me alone and bereft of my two angels. May her soul rest in peace. Please pray for her.”
Reacting to the heartbreaking news, Ananda Kumar K, State General Secretary of Kerala Congress M, took to Facebook to offer his condolences, saying, “Mrs. Shanifa, the wife of my dear friend Sanuj Babu, Managing Director of Cresent Group in Fujairah, tragically passed away this morning. Heartfelt prayers and condolences.”
Sharing his shock and sorrow on Instagram, Sundaresh Menon said, “I am truly shocked to hear about the untimely passing of your beloved wife. May her Soul rest in peace, and may God grant you the strength to endure this sudden loss.”
Offering her sympathies, Sruthy Sreerag Nath commented on Instagram, “That’s truly shocking. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to you, brother. May your wife’s soul rest in peace.”
Following the tragic incident, the body of Shanifa was moved to the Fujairah hospital mortuary as the local authorities, including the Fujairah Police, commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her fatal fall.
