Four tourists from Punjab tragically died in a road accident in Nipora area of Kulgam district. The incident involved a vehicle carrying seven tourists from Moga district, Punjab. Four individuals were pronounced dead at GMC hospital Anantnag, while three others sustained critical injuries. The deceased were identified as Sandeep Sharma, Romy, Jagdish alias Honey, and Gurmeet Singh. SRINAGAR, May 25 : Four tourists from Punjab tragically lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries in a devastating road accident in Nipora area of Kulgam district this afternoon. The incident occurred when a vehicle traveling from Qazigund to Srinagar skidded off the road near the grid station in Nipora.
Seven tourists, all hailing from Punjab’s Moga district, were onboard the ill-fated vehicle at the time of the accident. The injured individuals were immediately rushed to GMC hospital in Anantnag, where unfortunately, four of them were pronounced dead, and the remaining three are in critical condition.

The deceased have been identified as Sandeep Sharma (28), Romy (26), Jagdish alias Honey (23), and Gurmeet Singh (23). The injured survivors include Harchand Singh (34), Karanpal (25), and Ashu (18). Ashu’s condition is reported to be critical, while the other two are currently stable.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed profound grief over the tragic road accident in Kulgam that claimed the lives of four individuals from Punjab and left three others injured. In a heartfelt message of condolence, the Lt. Governor stated, “I am deeply grieved and saddened to learn about the loss of precious lives in an unfortunate road accident in Kulgam today. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the early recovery of the injured. I have directed the District Administration to provide all necessary assistance, as provided in the rule, to the affected families.”
