A distress call reporting a blaze at a residence near the Bank of India in Krishna Nagar was received at 2.35 am. The fire originated from a cluster of eleven two-wheelers in the stilt parking of the building before spreading to the first floor. The structure, comprising a ground (stilt) level and four floors, bore the brunt of the inferno.

Twelve individuals were successfully evacuated from the upper floors and swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
