A seven-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his father early Saturday morning was located at a Susanville Walmart and returned to his legal guardian, the Tehama County Sheriff’s office announced Sunday. The TCSO said that the boy and his father were found in Susanville after its investigators determined that it was a possible destination for Jonathan Bradley, Sr. Investigators reportedly contacted Susanville Police and asked that they search for Bradley, Sr. and his seven-year-old son, Jonathan Bradley Jr, who was allegedly taken by his biological father at 2:28 a.m., Saturday. The father, who did not have legal guardianship, took the juvenile from a bedroom window and fled the area. Deputies searched the area and could not find the vehicle or Bradley Sr. Investigators with the Tehama County Major Crimes Task Force and the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation began an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Bradley Sr., for kidnapping. The CHP was contacted and issued an Amber Alert. A Susanville police officer searching for the pair in the area responded to a report that the pair were at the Walmart and soon arrested Bradley, Sr on the kidnapping warrant. Susanville police reportedly took the child into protective custody and returned him to Tehama County. On 25/05/2024 at about 0228 hours, the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a kidnapping that occurred in the unincorporated area of Red Bluff. Responding Deputies learned that a 7-year-old male had been taken from the home of his legal Guardian by his biological father, Jonathan Bradley Sr, who did not have any custodial rights to the child. Mr. Bradley Sr came to the residence and removed the juvenile from a bedroom window and fled the area. Responding Deputies conducted a search of the area and were unable to locate Mr. Bradley or his vehicle. Investigators with the Tehama County Major Crimes Task Force and the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation were requested and responded to investigate the kidnapping. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Bradley for the charge of Kidnapping. The California Highway Patrol was contacted and requested to issue an AMBER ALERT for the abducted child. During the investigation, a location in Susanville, Ca was identified as a possible destination that Mr. Bradley may have taken the juvenile to. Investigators contacted the Susanville Police Department and requested that the area be checked for the suspect and the juvenile. An officer with the Susanville Police Department Located Mr. Bradley and the juvenile in the area after receiving information that they had been seen at Walmart in Susanville. Mr. Bradley was arrested on the Warrant and the juvenile was taken into protective custody and later returned to Tehama county.
