Suspicious Activity at Chockoyotte Park

On a Monday evening, Officer M. Morris and Master Officer K. Williams responded to a concerning report at Chockoyotte Park, where a man was spotted walking around the pavilion area with a 30-round magazine visibly protruding from his bookbag.

The caller expressed fears that the individual may also be concealing a firearm within the bookbag, especially as recreational activities were ongoing in the park at that time. The officers swiftly rushed to the scene to investigate.

While Morris observed the man, later identified as Anthony Devon Mills, heading towards the back of Walmart, Williams managed to intercept him as he crossed Premier Boulevard. A thorough search of Mills revealed concerning findings.

Within his possession were a 30-round magazine, an Airsoft pistol, an unlabeled pill bottle containing two plastic baggies with 2 grams of crack cocaine, 25 Lorazepam pills, and marijuana concealed in a cigar wrapper.

Mills has since been charged with possession of cocaine, possession of schedule IV substances, and possession of schedule VI substances. A court date has been set for July 25 to address these charges.
