Double OWI Arrest in Janesville, Wisconsin
A bizarre incident unfolded in Janesville, Wisconsin, when a 53-year-old man was arrested twice for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) in the span of just a few hours. Jeffery Janecek, a resident of Janesville, found himself in trouble with the law after displaying erratic driving behaviour on the streets of the quiet city.
First Arrest Near Milton Avenue
The initial arrest took place near Milton Avenue and Blackbridge Road, where a concerned witness reported Janecek’s erratic driving to the authorities. According to a release from the Janesville Police Department, Janecek was charged with operating while intoxicated 1st offense, a traffic forfeiture. Subsequently, a sober individual arrived at the police department to take custody of Janecek, as is standard procedure following an OWI 1st arrest.
Second Arrest on Milton Avenue Near Mt. Zion Avenue
Just a few hours later, another Janesville officer spotted a vehicle deviating from its lane and traveling significantly below the speed limit on Milton Avenue near Mt. Zion Avenue. Upon pulling the vehicle over, the driver was identified once again as Janecek, who was allegedly still under the influence of alcohol and had just left a local bar.

Continued Dangerous Behavior
Despite the earlier arrest, Janecek failed field sobriety testing for the second time and was promptly taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Rock County Jail for what officers described as “his continued dangerous behavior.”
