The victim, Conzuelo “Nicole” Solorio-Romero, was forcibly taken from her home in Kearns in a chilling incident that shocked the community.
The Disturbing Details Unfold
According to court documents, Solorio-Romero was abducted from her residence by two armed men in February of 2021. Witnesses reported seeing her being forced into a vehicle against her will, sparking immediate concern. She was taken to a West Valley studio apartment, where witnesses observed her being interrogated at knifepoint by Tobar, who went by the alias “Chaparro.”
Solorio-Romero vehemently denied speaking with the police but confided in a witness that her husband’s death was not a suicide as previously believed. This revelation incited Tobar to declare that she “knew too much” and would not be allowed to leave the apartment alive. Tragically, this led to Tobar’s associate, Jorge Medina-Reyes, fatally shooting Solorio-Romero in the back of the head.
