Ramachandra Sahu : “Man Found Dead on Railway Tracks: Investigation Underway”

Additional Details About the Incident in Berhampur: The unfortunate incident took place near Berhampur railway station in Ganjam district, where a 42-year-old man named Ramachandra Sahu was found dead on the railway tracks. Ramachandra, the son of Jaya Sahu and a resident of Bijipur Kalua Sahi under Town police limits, had gone to Puri for some work. Upon returning, he made a stop at Khurda on Thursday night. He contacted his wife around 10 pm to inform her of his imminent return. However, when he failed to reach home as expected, his family members grew concerned. They tried to contact him but discovered that his mobile phone was switched off. This prompted them to initiate a search, but unfortunately, Ramachandra could not be located.

Discovery of the Body: The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Berhampur received information about a body found on the tracks near Platform No. 2 of the railway station on Friday morning. Rushing to the scene, they were met by Ramachandra’s brother-in-law, Sanatan, who had been searching for him. With the police present, Sanatan was able to identify the deceased as Ramachandra. However, it was noted that Ramachandra’s mobile phone and other personal belongings were missing from the location.
