In a small village within the Gandacherra subdivision, a 37-year-old tribal woman found herself in a desperate situation that led her to take a drastic step. The woman, identified as Mormati Tripura, faced immense financial struggles after the tragic loss of her husband five months ago.
Mormati, a resident of Taraban Colony in the Gandacherra subdivision, gave birth to a baby girl at her humble home on a peaceful Wednesday. However, the joy of welcoming a new life into this world quickly turned into despair as the harsh reality of her circumstances hit her hard.

With no means to provide for her four children, including the newborn, Mormati took a heart-wrenching decision to sell her baby girl for a mere Rs 5,000 to a couple in Hezamara.
