In a recent incident in Nagpur, three individuals, including a child, sustained injuries after being hit by a car speeding through the Zenda Chowk area within the Kotwali police limits on Friday evening. The authorities acted swiftly and detained three individuals, including the reckless driver responsible for the accident.

Gorakh Bhamre, DCP of Nagpur, provided insights into the incident, stating, “A woman, her child, and another person were injured as a speeding car struck them around 8:30 pm at Zenda Chowk in the Kotwali Police Station area. One of the accused was apprehended by the public, leading to the detention of three youths and the car driver. Liquor bottles and narcotic substances were discovered in the vehicle. Medical tests are being conducted on the accused, and a case is in the process of being registered.”

In a separate incident reminiscent of the recent Pune Porsche crash, a 32-year-old man lost his life after a minor in Mumbai’s Mazgaon area collided with him using a motorcycle. The victim, identified as Irfan Nawab Ali Shaikh, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to JJ Hospital for treatment, where he tragically passed away during the medical intervention.

Following the accident, the Mumbai Police took action by sending the minor to a juvenile home. Both the minor and his father were detained, and a case was registered under section 304(2) of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
