Details of the Incident
Mr. Philip Kwadwo Bidaba, the dedicated Assemblyman of the Kwame-Akura East Electoral Area, recounted the harrowing sequence of events to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), shedding light on the root cause of the tragic clash. A herder, under the influence of intoxicating substances, failed to lead the animals to graze, sparking tension that eventually escalated into a violent confrontation.
Upon receiving a distress call, Mr. Bidaba swiftly intervened to prevent further bloodshed, ensuring that the injured were promptly transported to medical facilities. Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries upon arrival at the health center.
Current Status of the Victims
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) followed up on the incident at the Dambai Health Centre, where one of the victims was observed responding positively to treatment. At the E.P. Dan Moser Clinic, two other victims were receiving medical care, with one of them under police protection at the facility.
Mr. Victor Kwame, the second in command at E.P Clinic, provided reassurance that the victims were stable and out of immediate danger, emphasizing the importance of timely medical intervention in such critical situations.
Police Involvement and Investigations
Despite the presence of law enforcement officials at the medical facilities, the Police Command was unable to provide substantial information regarding the incident. The deceased was respectfully deposited at the WoraWora Government Hospital morgue for preservation, pending further investigations into the tragic event.
