A recent incident in Troy, Tx has left the community in shock as a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a Ford Bronco took place on southbound Interstate 35. The location of the accident was at Mile Marker #306, where Troy Police officers responded to a stalled vehicle at around 4:41 p.m. on Wednesday.
Life-Saving Efforts
Upon arriving at the scene, Troy Police officers and Troy Volunteer Fire personnel immediately sprang into action to provide life-saving care to the injured person in the Ford Bronco. With the use of hydraulic rescue tools, the fire personnel were able to free the trapped individual from the vehicle. Meanwhile, the driver of the 18-wheeler sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Identification of the Victim
After a thorough investigation led by Troy Police with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the victim of the crash has been identified as 66-year-old Tracy Kathryn Rambosek. Shockingly, Rambosek was listed as a missing person out of Harris County, with her disappearance being reported by Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on Tuesday, May 21.
Family Notification and Hospitalization
Following the identification of Rambosek, Troy Police promptly contacted her family to inform them of the situation. Rambosek was then transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of now, there is no information available on the reason for Rambosek’s visit to the Central Texas area or why the Ford Bronco was stopped in the lane of traffic.
Impact on Traffic
The crash involving the 18-wheeler and the Ford Bronco caused significant traffic disruptions on southbound I-35, near Mile Marker #306. However, by 9 a.m., traffic appeared to be moving again as authorities worked to clear the scene and investigate the incident further.
