Housewife tragically electrocuted in Meherpur village

MEHERPUR, May 24, 2024 (BSS) – A quiet afternoon turned into a nightmare in Islamnagar village of Amjhupi union under Sadar upazila of the district as a tragic incident unfolded, claiming the life of a beloved member of the community.

The victim, identified as Sarzia Khatun, a 42-year-old housewife and the wife of Mizanur Rahman, met her untimely demise due to a fatal encounter with a live electric wire. The serene atmosphere of the village was shattered by the sound of an electric water pump malfunctioning, leading to a horrific chain of events.
