A tragic incident occurred in Tajikistan as a Malayali medical student, Riaz Haris Muhammed, drowned in a lake while celebrating his birthday with friends. Riaz, a 24-year-old MBBS student at Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, was preparing to return home after completing his studies. The son of Takhitiel T H Haris Muhammed, he will be laid to rest at Puthurpally Juma Masjid graveyard in Kangazha. Survived by his father, mother Shahamol, and brother Raziq Haris Muhammed, the funeral is scheduled for today at 11 am. This heartbreaking loss has deeply impacted the local community in Kottayam.
