Victim of Fatal Shooting Identified
Police have revealed the identity of the victim in the tragic incident that occurred outside a bar on Elmira’s Northside. The victim has been identified as Norman D. Cherry, aged 43, with no address provided by the Elmira Police Department.
Details of the Shooting
The fatal shooting took place shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday night outside Gush’s Thirsty Bear, located at 351 E. Washington Ave in Elmira. Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, Cherry was rushed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. Tragically, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
