Snider found the vehicle in the middle of the road and attempted to stop it, but the driver, Justin Rayshaun Hewlin, fled towards the Warren County line. Hewlin failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the car to crash into a wood line. He and his passenger fled on foot but were later found by deputies. Hewlin, who was under a domestic violence court order, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. He is currently in Halifax County Jail awaiting a court date on June 27.
