A man has been arrested in Howard County, Md., in connection with an alleged road rage incident. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jeffery Johnson from Dundalk, Maryland, has been charged with multiple counts, including assault and the use of a firearm in a violent crime. The incident took place on northbound Interstate 95, north of Maryland Route 32, where Johnson reportedly caused a crash and threatened the victim with a firearm. HOWARD COUNTY, Md. – Man Arrested in Connection with Road Rage Incident

A man has been taken into custody following an alleged road rage incident that took place in Howard County, Maryland. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jeffery Johnson from Dundalk, Maryland, has been charged with multiple offenses in connection with the incident.

Charges Against Johnson

Jeffery Johnson is facing four counts of first-degree assault, four counts of second-degree assault, the use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, and four counts of reckless endangerment. Following his arrest, Johnson was taken to the Baltimore County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.

Details of the Incident

The incident in question took place on northbound Interstate 95, just north of Maryland Route 32, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 14. According to reports, a female victim and her three juvenile children were traveling north on I-95 when Johnson, driving a Nissan Altima, attempted to cut in front of their vehicle at a high speed, resulting in a collision.

The victim stated that Johnson then stopped his Nissan in traffic, approached her vehicle with a firearm, and subsequently fled the scene in his vehicle. As the victim attempted to drive away, Johnson caught up to her vehicle, once again pointing the firearm at her.

Investigation and Similarities

Police investigating the incident noted similarities between this case and an unsolved incident from January 2022, in which a man from Anne Arundel County, identified as Charles “Charlie” Marks, was fatally shot in a suspected road rage incident on the same stretch of interstate. The investigation into both incidents remains ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about either incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
