An Omaha woman, identified as 53-year-old Tina Gomez, is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, after allegedly stealing a vehicle with a 14-year-old inside. The incident took place on Wednesday near the AutoZone at 49th and Center streets in Omaha.

Details of the Abduction

Omaha police responded to a call regarding an abduction at the AutoZone location. As officers arrived at the scene, they received another call stating that the victim had been dropped off at Saddle Creek Road and Pacific Street. The victim reported that Gomez had hit construction equipment and jumped a curb before kicking him out of the vehicle. Gomez also threatened the victim, stating, “If you call the police, I am going to crash the car.”

Police Pursuit

Following the victim’s report, police were alerted to an attempt to use the owner of the vehicle’s card at the Quik Trip near 32nd and L streets. Officers spotted the vehicle passing them at 42nd and F streets with the individual described by the teen victim inside. Another attempt was made near 25th Street and Ames Avenue, where the car reversed and attempted to flee the scene.
