Initial Report by the Inspector General
The Office of the Inspector General has released its preliminary findings regarding the incident that took place at the autobody shop. According to the report, the confrontation stemmed from a dispute over missing items from a vehicle that had been towed to the shop the day before.
Details of the Incident
The first responding officer, identified as Officer Brian Altamirano, arrived at the scene to find a white Infinity in the parking lot. A male suspect was seated in the driver’s seat, with a male and female standing by the passenger side of the vehicle. As the situation unfolded, a second officer, Officer Daniel Guilfuchi, arrived in another cruiser and positioned himself near the Infinity.
