The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a total of 16 Malaysians were on board Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 from London to Singapore when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence en route to its destination on 21 May. Unfortunately, the turbulence resulted in the death of a passenger and left at least 30 others injured.
