On a tragic night in Gazipur’s Sreepur upazila, a young man named Farid Ahmed, aged 24, was fatally shot by a rival group. The incident, which occurred in Ujilar village in Sreepur, has left the community in shock.

Gazipur Superintendent of Police, Kazi Shafiqul Alam, revealed that a clash erupted between two rival groups at Tapibari village in Sreepur around 9:00 pm. It was during this altercation that Farid was shot dead by members of the opposing group.
Farid was rushed to the Sreepur Upazila Health Complex but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The duty doctor, Aljina, mentioned that Farid had sustained multiple injuries, and further investigations will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
