Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Enmore Accident
On Sunday evening, tragedy struck on Enmore Public Road, East Coast Demerara, as a pedestrian lost their life in a fatal accident. The incident occurred around 7:50 pm, involving a motor lorry with the registration number GTT4579 and a 48-year-old resident identified as Rooplall Haindarsan of Lot 93 Logwood Enmore.

The motor lorry was reportedly traveling west along the southern side of Enmore Public Road at a normal speed when the pedestrian suddenly ran across the road from north to south, directly into the path of the vehicle. The collision resulted in the pedestrian falling to the road surface and sustaining severe injuries to their body.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) were called to the scene, and the unconscious pedestrian was swiftly transported to Georgetown Public Hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite efforts to save their life, the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
