Six persons, including a woman, were booked in Ludhiana for attempting to kidnap a man over a matrimonial issue. The accused, identified as Ladi Singh, Sandeep Singh, Pargat Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Akashdeep Singh, and Pooja Rani, allegedly tried to abduct the complainant’s brother-in-law. The incident took place in Maherna Kalan village, where the victim was working with his father. The police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused. It is believed that Pooja Rani, the sister-in-law of the victim, sought revenge for her husband allegedly assaulting her. In a separate incident, Margao police rescued a kidnapped minor girl recently.

Ludhiana: Sadar Raikot authorities have taken action against six individuals, including a woman, for their involvement in an attempted kidnapping related to a matrimonial dispute. The suspects have been identified as Ladi Singh from Hario in Lehragaga, Sandeep Singh from Gandua in Dharamgarh, Pargat Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Akashdeep Singh from Hariau, and Pooja Rani from Basti Khai in Lehragaga.
The incident took place on April 30 when the victim, Rahul from Mini Chapar in Jodhan, was working with his father at the grain market in Maherna Kalan village. It was during this time that the six accused, including Pooja Rani, his sister-in-law, attempted to kidnap him. The victim immediately reported the incident to the authorities.
According to ASI Gursevak Singh, the suspects have not yet been apprehended, but efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest them. Initial investigations suggest that Pooja Rani, the sister-in-law, instigated the kidnapping attempt as a form of retaliation against her husband, Monu, who allegedly assaulted her. In response, she enlisted the help of her accomplices to seek revenge.
