The 13-year-old boy was found with a Glock 34 containing 10 rounds in his backpack. The 14-year-old was charged with trespassing, while the 22-year-old, Jamuan Terrell Coakley-Thomason, faces possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute. Legal proceedings are scheduled for the suspects in both juvenile and district courts.

Gun Found at Boston Playground Leads to Arrest of Three Individuals

In a concerning incident that unfolded at a Boston playground, two teenagers and a 22-year-old man were apprehended by authorities after a firearm was discovered. The city’s police department revealed the details of this alarming situation on Saturday.

The unsettling report came to light on a Monday morning when law enforcement received information about a gun being found at a park situated on 30 Mt. Pleasant Ave. in Boston. Responding promptly, officers swiftly made their way to the Mount Pleasant Play Area, where they encountered the individual who had returned to retrieve the weapon.

Upon arriving at the scene at approximately 9:40 a.m., the police engaged with the three suspects and proceeded to arrest them following a brief pursuit on foot. The arrested individuals were later identified as two juveniles, aged 13 and 14, and a 22-year-old man named Jamuan Terrell Coakley-Thomason, hailing from Charlestown.

Upon conducting a search of the 13-year-old boy’s backpack, law enforcement officers uncovered a black firearm – specifically, a Glock 34 – loaded with 10 rounds in the magazine and capable of holding up to 30 rounds. Additionally, crack cocaine was found in the possession of Coakley-Thomason during the apprehension.

The 13-year-old boy is currently facing charges related to unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device. Conversely, the 14-year-old boy has been charged with trespassing on the premises.

Coakley-Thomason, on the other hand, has been charged with possession of a Class B substance with the intent to distribute. Legal proceedings are set to take place at a later date, with Coakley-Thomason scheduled for arraignment in Roxbury District Court and the teenagers to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
