An Alabama middle school assistant principal, Keante Harris, was charged with three counts of malice murder for his alleged involvement in a decade-old triple murder case in Clayton County, Georgia. The victims, Quinones King, Rodney Cottrell, and Cheryl Colquitt-Thompson, were found dead in a car abandoned along Interstate 85. Investigators determined that the victims were lured to a home, tortured, and killed before being dumped in the vehicle. Harris, along with three others, Kenneth Thompson, Kevin Harris, and Darrell Harris, were connected to the crime. Harris, employed at McAdory Middle School in Alabama, has been placed on administrative leave. He is awaiting extradition to Georgia.

Assistant principal arrested for decade-old triple murder case

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. – An Alabama middle school assistant principal, Keante Harris, found himself in a legal battle as he faces charges for a decade-old triple murder case that shocked the community.

The horrific incident took place on January 13, 2013, in Clayton County, Georgia, where three victims were tragically found in a silver 2010 Dodge Charger abandoned along Interstate 85 at an exit ramp in Union City.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that the victims, Quinones King, Rodney Cottrell, and Cheryl Colquitt-Thompson, were brutally murdered. King and Cottrell were found dead from asphyxiation in the back seat, while Colquitt-Thompson was discovered dead in the trunk from strangulation.

After an extensive investigation, it was determined that the victims were lured to a home on Magnolia Drive in Jonesboro, where they were held at gunpoint, tortured, and ultimately killed. The perpetrators then placed their bodies in the vehicle and dumped it in Fulton County.

The case remained unsolved for over a decade until Clayton County police issued warrants for the arrest of Keante Harris and three other individuals – Kenneth Thompson, Kevin Harris, and Darrell Harris.

Reports from WBMA-TV revealed that Keante Harris serves as an assistant principal at McAdory Middle School in Jefferson County, Alabama. Following his arrest, the school district promptly placed him on administrative leave.

The school district spokesperson stated, “At this time, we are still gathering facts about the specifics of this situation. However, early indications suggest that the charges are not related to this individual’s employment with Jefferson County Schools.”

Keante Harris is currently awaiting extradition to Georgia between Friday and May 28, while being held as an inmate at the Jefferson County Jail.
