The first body was found on May 10, and the second on May 13, near River Road in rural Sumner County near Belle Plaine. Both bodies were sent to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for further testing. DNA testing confirmed the identities of the deceased individuals as Monica R. Williams, 29, and Kevin M. Ledesma, 24, who were reported missing in January 2024. The sheriff’s office has identified several suspects in the case and assures there is no immediate threat to citizens.
