Violent Clash Between Two Families in Rahmatnagar Leaves Three Injured

A clash between two families in Rahmatnagar turned violent, resulting in three individuals and a pet dog being injured. The incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of Maduranagar police station, led to the arrest of five people by the authorities.

The dispute arose between the families of Madhu and Dhanunjay on the 8th of this month. Madhu’s family, accompanied by their husky dog, was on their way to cast postal ballots when the conflict unfolded.

According to Madhura Nagar police, Dhanunjay’s family alleged that the dog had attacked them, prompting both sides to file complaints.

The situation escalated when Dhanunjay, driven by anger, and four accomplices launched a violent assault on Madhu’s brother, Srinath, who was walking the dog in the evening. Iron rods were used in the brutal attack, leaving Srinath, his mother Rajeshwari, and sister Swapna severely injured when they intervened.

The victims, along with the injured pet dog, required immediate medical attention due to the severity of the attack. Maduranagar police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, leading to the arrest of the five individuals involved.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we are committed to ensuring justice for all parties involved,” stated a police official regarding the incident.

Earlier last month, a street dog, aged approximately three to four months, was brutally beaten to death in Indore for allegedly barking and causing disturbances in the locality. The assailant, identified as Vikas, mercilessly attacked the dog with sticks, resulting in its tragic demise. Concerned residents reported the incident to Priyanshu Jain, the president of the Indore unit of People for Animals, who took swift action by filing a case against the perpetrator. Subsequently, a postmortem examination was conducted on the deceased street dog on Sunday.
