Banska Bystrica: On Wednesday, a disturbing incident took place in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, where Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot multiple times in an assassination attempt as he was leaving a government meeting. Thankfully, the 59-year-old leader is now in stable condition, and his life is no longer in danger.
The suspect, identified as Juraj Cintula according to media reports, was quickly apprehended. The 71-year-old man was said to be a poet hailing from southern Slovakia.
