Tragic Accident Claims Life of 65-Year-Old Man in New Delhi
A 65-year-old man tragically lost his life in a road accident in New Delhi on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as Kishan Lal, was riding his motorcycle in Khanpur when a speeding SUV collided with him from behind, leading to a fatal chain reaction involving another vehicle.
Details of the Incident
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vichitra Veer, the accident occurred around 10 am near Rajouri Garden. Upon receiving the distress call, local authorities quickly arrived at the scene to find Lal critically injured. He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
Further investigation revealed that a Ford Endeavour had rear-ended Lal’s motorcycle before crashing into a BMW in front of him. The force of the impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles, highlighting the severity of the collision.
Legal Action Taken
The occupants of the SUV, including the driver and a passenger, were immediately apprehended by law enforcement. DCP Veer confirmed that legal proceedings were underway to address the reckless driving that resulted in Lal’s untimely demise.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident earlier that day, a speeding car collided with a parked vehicle near Parliament on Rafi Marg. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the crash was so intense that the offending vehicle overturned.

DCP DK Mahla of New Delhi Police stated that no formal complaints had been lodged regarding the second accident. However, he assured that the driver responsible for the collision would face legal consequences for their actions. The authorities are actively exploring all available legal avenues to address the incident.
