The tragic incident unfolded in Manteswar’s Selia village, sending ripples of fear and uncertainty throughout the community. Local sources reported that Roy’s body was found suspended from a tree, prompting immediate action from the authorities upon being notified.

The violent altercation erupted over the placement of election campaign posters in Ganjam district.
The confrontational episode transpired in Sri Krushna Saranapur village within the Khallikote police station area, marking a somber turn of events in the otherwise peaceful region. The victim, identified as Dilip Kumar Pahana, a 28-year-old resident of Sri Krushna Saranapur, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
